No-Fail Yeast Rolls

Here's a no-frills, no-fail recipe for homemade yeast rolls. These are excellent with a bowl of soup, and are my go-to rolls for holiday meals. Slice them in half, and they even work well for sandwiches. Seriously, you can't go wrong with these rolls.


1 package dry yeast (2-1/4 teaspoons)

1 cup warm water

2 eggs, beaten

1/3 cup sugar

1 tsp salt

1/3 cup oil

3-1/2 cups flour


1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water.

2. In a large bowl, mix the eggs and sugar.

3. Add the salt and oil.

4. Add the yeast.

5. Mix in the flour one cup at a time, stirring well.

6. Cover the bowl with a dish cloth, and allow the dough to rise until double in size.

7. Punch down the dough to let out the air.

8. Form the dough into any size rolls.

9. Cover, and let rise until the rolls are double in size.
